General apology all-round.

I will be late commenting; I will endeavour to post a pic each day whilst on holiday but we've bought our grandson so much time will be otherwise engaged

I''l keep up as time allows and catch up upon return to warmer and sunnier climes

Totally missed my POD yesterday. Was tired after two very early mornings to get some images of comet NEOWISE. So, I'm posting for yesterday the best shot of that bunch. Not quite in the rules but that's my safety for yesterday.

So my picture from 11th hit explore...

As much as I'm ok with this photo I don't think it's particularly great and I believe I did better with some previous shots this month. Weird, but it's my first 'explore' so sure I'm happy

as Sandy said - there isn't a good/rational/satisfying explanation for 'explore', so most of us just soak them up and enjoy.....

Congratulations on your first Explore! It's always a rush of happiness for me.

As the others wrote above, don't question why, just enjoy. One of my least artistic hastily shot Single In shots hit Explore years ago, on one hand, embarrassing to think this image was my introduction to a lot of viewers, but it still gained a hundred or so faves, I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder.

I usually look at the photostreams of a few who give me a fave or a comment, I've found some very talented photographers that way.

Congrats, it was something like6 or 7 years before I got my first explore. Well done. Don't try to understand it, just enjoy it.

On another note, I'll be off line for several days but will catch up after that.

Every so often, a mortal is favored by the Powers That Be on Flickr, and their image is showcased prominently for all to see. But the PTB are capricious and mysterious, none can discern their ways, nor lure their benevolence by any means known to Man.
