Whenever I remove an SD card, I leave the door on the camera open until the card goes back in.
The K-1 and 645Z have the advantage of having two slots, so even if I screw up that step there is backup

I have always had the extra grip on my cameras and most of them have a spot for a spare sd card in with the battery, so that's my plan B.

and I come in on the other side of the debate - why take the card out ever?

I use the usb connection to offload images from the camera, so there's never the possibility of leaving the card out, and I don't need a card reader....

I swap in a new card immediately, so I don't forget.
It would be great if the K-1 would tell you there is no card in the camera when you turn it on, rather than when you take that once in a lifetime image

Southern Poland has been fully overcast and/or rainy today, so I might not keep the theme

2 SD cards in the car, Wife's car, wallet.

Theyre cheap enough.

(Also, when you shoot a lot of film your "leaving the house" routine is thorough and that transfers over to really not forgetting much)

Interesting, that is exactly what I do - leave the door open until the card is returned. Been doing it for years.

I need to take it out and plug into the camera connection kit thing to transfer them onto my iPad - which is where I do most of my processing.

The irony this time is that I was putting them into the computer, so could have used the cable. xP

For Sandy I thought I needed to try f16

however he was right open wide works better f1.6

so the adage f8 and be there might not be quite true. Thanks Sandy

Never thought of that. I don't like taking my card out or leaving the door open, now I don't have to. It works just the same as well, even when transferring to a tablet

O_O

And I have a couple of them for my iPad charger! OMG Awesome - I think I’ll switch.

Thanks for that, guys

Edit: That said ... micro-USB on the camera side; that’ll be the issue. Dammit

Yes.. number #1 attraction to other systems is the USB-C connectivity and charging for me.

Back home. I got the shots for missing days. I just need to finish editing them, but posted couple days already.

I'm quite enjoying shooting with M28/2.8. I had other lenses with me, but didn't bother to use any of them. On APSC I rather used 35mm, but now feel like 28mm might be the better choice for FF. We'll see how I feel like at the end of the month.

I was amazed at how wide 28mm was on full frame the first time I used it. I'm also disappointed how narrow my 35-70 is on APSC over the last couple of days using the KP.

I agree 35-70 just never cut it for me on APSC yet on 35mm and full frame very happy with it, the other one that I never took to on APSC was the 28-105, it just never felt right.
