Thank you. Assembled a computer for this, scared to plug it in. (Can't believe you're halfway through tomorrow already.)

This is one of the things that constantly amazes and intrigues me about these challenges. The fact that I am looking at shots from so many different parts of the world is fascinating. I find the whole different season thing pretty mind blowing too.

I too appreciate that PF, especially our little group has participants from all over the world. During the dead of our winter, I rely on the beach scenes and flowers from our friends in the Southern Hemisphere to brighten the day.
It's also nice to see where and how other people live outside of my little slice of heaven. Even mundane scenes of a local neighborhood in Poland or Sydney are interesting, because they are similar, but a little different to what I see in my own local towns and cities.
Finally, I've been shown some amazing places that only heighten my wanderlust.

I will admit that "It's almost the end of tomorrow " concept throws me off a bit, but it's nice that usually you folks from the future have posted a few nice pix for me to look at over my morning coffee.

Just got home from a spur of the moment week long vacation without any computer access. Not sure what we will plan this month for fun but hope to take photos, post and comment for the August DiC!

Two of them?

So, I have two very useful Lume Cubes, and I use them via bluetooth and an phone app. Really good stuff, lots of light in a small package. If I had a flash I could use them as fill lights since they have an optical trigger with a flashgun

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'll keep the Lume Cubes and keep an eye out for an inexpensive flash.

The Lume Cubes have a constant "On" independent of an app or a trigger, good battery life as well, so I turn them on to meter the shot and capture the image.

I should have told them not to bother sending it to me, another item to go to the Salvation Army.

I almost never use flash, but have wondered if I should learn more about it, and get a dedicated unit. If I weren’t the other side of the world I’d put up my hand
