Tropical storm came through yesterday. 98% of town is without power....including us. Estimate to get everyone back online...10 days. I’m out of Daily challenge till then!

Me too from the western side of CT. I'v been taking a few paltry photos and finally got the generator up and running. Its the third day since the power went out and most gas stations and commercial strips don't have power. Not to mention the free for all at the traffic lights.

I am pleased that my town in Virginia did not lose power despite the storms. 10 year ago, I invested in a whole house (well 3/4 house at 17kW) generator and a 500 gallon propane tank. Having power wired into the house makes for a near seamless back up. 5 years ago, our town was without power for 5 days.
I do need to get an UPS with about 6 outlets so I can avoided the interruptive 5-15 second power outages that force the modem/router and my desktop to reboot.

Yea I guess the postage would be more than whats its worth

Gaps in participation

I'm about to head bush for a few days for a photo shoot in an area partly new to me. I won't have power or phone signal for part of the time, so my posts and commenting are likely to become gappy. My apologies in advance - I'll catch up as opportunities arise .

LOL it’s that bad then? xP

Surely it ought to be quite cheap to buy, in that case; I might start looking for something (if I can motivate myself)

Todd suggested that I try my long exposure groin shot in b&w, so I did. Turns out to have been a good call as it's been Explored today!
