I’m out...for now at least. Too busy with showings of this house and looking at houses to buy! If we lock something down before month end I’ll jump back in. Thanks for all your comments last month.....and you all posted some great photos!
Good luck!

I'm going to try to participate. I missed the first, but do have a submission for the 2nd. If history is any judge, I will do poorly the rest of the month, but will try to have a fighting spirit!

Update...regarding our move....we are halfway there: we have a signed contract for the purchase of our current house! Now pressure is really on to find a place to buy and move to! Exciting times! Much packing and clearing to do. See you hopefully in November!

Housing market here in these covid-days is crazy. Not a lot of stock on the market means higher prices and quick sales. Not a lot of time to think about your choices!

Best of luck in finding a suitable new place. Lord willing, we will only have one more downsizing move in our future, and I hope to be rid of many long neglected possessions before that time. I don't mind moving, I did it many times in 45 years. But the idea of just sorting, packing, carting and unpacking so many times in the past makes me willing to consider packing a very few treasured possessions and then lighting a match and tossing it onto everything else. 10 years of living in the same house has allowed me to realize just how much of what I own is not really necessary to the lifestyle I live now. At least the locdown period has allowed me to read alot of books before donating them to a good cause, and I am slowly getting rid of other ephemera.

This weekend instead of cleaning the house, we are at a park in the mountainous border region between Kentucky and Tennesse. It is lovely, and I am getting some good images with my K-1 and FA 24-90 IF AL.

Yeah we too hope this is our last downsizing move. We’ve had 15 years here to accumulate “stuff”. Going through it ruthlessly now to make an easier transition. If all goes per plan (unlikely in these days!) we will close on this house and on the new one in mid-October! It’s been a whirlwind to say the least!
