Yeah we too hope this is our last downsizing move. We’ve had 15 years here to accumulate “stuff”. Going through it ruthlessly now to make an easier transition. If all goes per plan (unlikely in these days!) we will close on this house and on the new one in mid-October! It’s been a whirlwind to say the least!

Wow that’s all happening really quickly! Best wishes for it all going smoothly

No excuses, I left the house without a camera, and on my way home saw several scenes that would have made great photos

*coughs*, would anyone have any objections if I'd chime in these days? I've got about a months holidays from school but there's the little issue that they're starting tomorrow and will end on the 13th so not exactly a month as they are in the calendars.. Might be able to get October done fully but couldn't guarantee it..

I do really fancy picking up my camera again!

Welcome aboard! You might get hooked and stay longer . Have a good look at the very first post for this thread - guidelines for participation, and there's a list of Theme Day options for this month.

Cheers! I'm sort of hoping to get hooked again, but I don't know if I'd manage to stay longer on a regular basis. it's my final year at school and it's getting slightly busy!

I did check the themes and have got the camera ready on the kitchen table for tomorrow morning!

Haven't done a daily in years and stopped using flickr since then. Trying to get my website sort of presentable to be able to host my photos there.. Hopefully

How's everyone doing? Still batting 1000? I missed a couple days during recovery, but I'm back to nearly full strength. What say you? Give me a full report!

100% for me too. New subjects down the coast generate interest and enthusiasm, although interrupting various renovation tasks, plus the 550km drive from and back to home can be problematic in keeping up with comments.

Went out the botanical gardens using the 18-135mm on the K-1. As it was an overcast day, I chose to use manual settings, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Going out to such a place also helped shake me out of my (Non) creative rut and regain some enjoyment of downloading, culling and editing what I captured.

I'd be happier, though if I could get the Nik Collection to work with Windows 10. I still haven't found anything half so good as Silver EFX for BW conversion.

Does anyone have some recommendations for alternate BW conversion software?

I loved Tonality before it was swallowed up by Luminar; I managed to keep a couple of my presets that still work in Luminar, so I'm happy.....

Well... This went way worse than I'd ever had anticipated. Left my camera at my great-aunts one day, next day was too wet to retrieve it - okay, it would have been possible if I'd actually have thought about it beforehand - and then I kinda forgot. :|
