The 2020 Monthly Challenge
Should you accept this challenge, you will have to make an attempt to do some shooting in the month's theme. Being monthly, you could do this alongside other photography projects. Or you could decide to just do the theme for an entire month and nothing else! As long as you commit to posting your best shot of the theme to the monthly thread which I'll create in the Mini-Challenges sub-forum.
Any cameras and lenses allowed. Shoot whatever you want. There will be no judging so no pressure. Just post and comment on your learning experience if you want.
Extra bonus bragging rights if you commit to taking a picture daily in the theme:

October - Flowers and Nature II (alternate: Fall Colors for those in the northern hemisphere)

I went to Carolina Beach State Park to try to find the Venus Flytrap plants, The plants are so small they were difficult to find, in fact, I found these because someone told me there were some in that area. These were found off of a boardwalk, about two feet lower than the platform. Until I downloaded the photos to the computer I did not know there were also Sundews in the photos. The Sundews can be seen best when you click on the photo to enlarge it. Next time I go I know more of what to look for, and I can hopefully find some other flytraps and sundews easier to access.

I was camping at this park a few years ago. The park naturalist showed a group of us where to look for these plants and the sundews. I had just got a new-to-me K10D and was learning to use it. Most of my shots of these two plants weren't very good. The only one worth keeping was this one, even though it leaves a lot to be desired.

That's an excellent photo! I hope to get back pretty soon, it's only about 45 minutes if traffic isn't bad.

I enjoyed my time there, and learned that North Carolina has savanna. I had thought that only existed in Africa.

Snowy Egret, I've noticed this snowy egret across the street a few times, there is usually a great egret there, which I think may chase the snowy away. Anyway I finally got a pretty good look here, now hopefully with the DA*300 next.
