Lovely lens! I don't currently own one - I sold it after buying F 1.4 but I enjoyed using it a lot.

Sell when not used and then buy again if needed
Quite a common approach, I guess

I find it very difficult to put the words "sell" and "lens" in the same sentence... I do have some I need to move on, especially my second copy of the K28 shift and a large format 90mm lens, as well as a bunch of odds and sods that won't make very much.

F50/1.7 on the way. Bought it for my wife, so she has something better than 18-135 with AF to shoot horses. I expect it to have similar performance as M50/1.7. I shouldn't have sold my DA50/1.8 few years ago thought there was no use for it at the time. I guess the lesson is; Never sell

I always fall for these black friday offerings from Finnish used lens online shop, but I managed a year without buying lenses. Quite an achievement compared to previous years
Nice lens, better than the DA 50 in my opinion.

Hmmm ... seems no infinity focus. Not even close. Ah well. About $8, worthwhile for everything else I can use it for
Oh well. It still looks handy for closer stuff, I might have to try to find one.

That's my expectation. I found M50/1.7 better that DA50, so F should be too.

I might reshoot one of my M's in december SIC. Not to learn the lens, but to push camera and software further. Yeah, I'm stoked about C1 v20 ATM and can't wait for v21 to arrive

It looks like that software update finally release the high ISO capabilities of K1ii. I reedited selfie day shot from last month and it looks so much better now. Old version of program used to turn high ISO colours to garbage. That problem is now solved. My shorts and canvas on the wall are right colour now.

Also a nod to upgraded healing tool to remove objects. Worked easy and effectively when I removed object from bottom right corner.

But v20 also brought PEF support to K1ii. Tried some high ISO shot with it today and that looks real promising. I have no complains about ISO3200. Even pixel peeping I had no complains about noice. Wurthermore ISO3200 looked better than ISO800 with exposure lifted to same in post. I need to test new limits to myself as for sure I can go few stop higher if needed when 3200 looks this good.

It's amazing how much the program matters to the final results

It might be an F month for me too, looks like I accidentally ended up with one of Sandy's discards, an F28mm. The reviews on here seem positive so fingers crossed

It was an accident, Eddy Summers posted on the local buy and sell, it wasn't until after I sealed the deal that he let me know it was an ex Sandy optic.........

It's a bloody good lens. I hope you love it. I only moved it on to make room for my "Hollywood" K28/2.0

So I’m finding something odd. In some situations the images are coming out really overexposed. In others - in better lighting, probably - it’s ok, but in these over-exposey times it’s really very off. Seems to be in situations with excessive dynamic contrasts, and it’s choosing to blow the hell out of the bright, rather than leave darkness anywhere ... except the histogram ends up not anywhere near the black.

No dropping, no banging - I’m not sure, but I don’t think it’s happening with other lenses. No difference between live view and OVF (K-30 was over-exposing with OVF but fine with live view)

I’m puzzled.

I got the F50/1.7. Seems like I got what I expected. Rendering looks familiar. Wide open might be sharper than M version. Build and feel are main disadvantages over older version, but that's no news and, since you don't need to handle the lens, doesn't really matter. I bought this for my wife to use, but I'll sure single it at somepoint. Also might sneak into travel bag instead of M, so wife can also take shots occasionally. Good deal

Due to "technical difficulties" I haven't been able to post for a few days but I have been taking photos. I'll catch up in the appropriate threads when the difficulties have been resolved.

Hey all - I'll get the December thread up later today. Wife's car died and we spent a good chunk of yesterday replacing it. She now has a Subaru.
