Someone should get K33 when it comes, so we can see it in action here.

I'm in. Could be DA 21, K55/2 or F24-50.

OK - needing some of the group's experience

I find myself at a crossroads, as far as camera bodies go....

in the past few months, in order to slim things down and make way for new things, I've sold off a K-5 IIs and a K-3 (and even some lenses)....

I still have a K-3.... but find that I am really missing that K-5 IIs....

Don't get me wrong - the K-3 is an absolute workhorse of a camera body, with lots of pro's going for it (and truly, not many con's)....

but that K-5 IIs was just enough for me - ticked all the boxes for a DSLR and just felt "right" in my hands...

some of you have noted that I'm also carrying a couple of Fuji bodies these days and that may be part of this issue - they are lighter and more compact and I know the K-5 body was a bit smaller than the K-3....

I guess the issue, for me, is: do I need all that is a K-3?

I don’t know the K-3, but I do know that the KP feels smaller and lighter than my K-30 (I’m not sure that it really is either of those things, but it *feels* compact and just right for me). My guess is that the K-3 would be at least the size and heft of a K-30 - which leads me to suggest - if you can - having a feel of a KP. Maybe, if you’re liking the smaller feel, that might do it.

I'm in, but swithering as to the lens. I was planning to use the Tair11A 135/2.8, but I've been using the Jupiter 11A 135mm this month and want a change in focal length. So, Pentacon 300mm, Vivitar 17mm or one of the enlarger\projector lenses, decisions, decisions....

Did you think for a minute that wasn't already a given?

Action in April, anyone?

It was a subtle hint for Pepperberry. I didn't want to sound too pushy I knew you were after it. Been following the threads.

Score! Good on you. A NIB K-5iis? that box must have some dust on it, but as long as it works, most excellent find.

Whaaaat!?? And I thought I was so sneaky by not mentioning anyone directly. At least got Sandy fooled I'm sure you would do great stuff with that new camera, but maybe someday when they are available cheaply at second hand. Personally I'm afraid I need to wait for K1IV before I can justify money into new camera

Congrats on K5iis. It sounds like good catch.

oh, soooo sneaky.... aye

I cannot justify the cost of a new camera - hence the purchase of camera bodies that are 2, 4, and now 8 years old....

I know the feeling. But the more I shoot, the better I get at argumenting to myself. I can nowadays easily justify expances I simply couldn't 3 years ago. K1ii 2 years ago was bit hard to sell to myself, but luckily found a deal I couldn't miss. This year I had no trouble at all to convince myself that I must have DFA*85
