I was being too polite to say anything...

Guess it's one way of eliminating flare.

Or at least... pale blue.

Looks more like the ball that the Arnie and the gang of Terminators arrive in.

See, it was Superman's arrival when his planet blew up, temporarily eclipsing our sun (otherwise where else would all the kryptonite have come from)

I'm glad we've got to the root of the problem... now we all know why.

Ummm... About that sun

EDIT: I'm going to guess that it's a result of a processing bug in some particular software program, maybe Luminar?

No. Lightroom and mostly Photoshop.
Did not know how to deal with the large ball of light around the sun, so I just took it out.
Sevejo did it kudos to him.

could not make my mind up so i went two ways

first a monochrome

Second Colour and a 6x7 Crop

Some good Dynamic range available on the K1 , odd flare not in the crop and not visible in monochrome. I was going to go more high key but there are cleaning blobbies visible and i am lazy

Ok, stepped up to the iPad. (Still no internet connection so I’d have to mess about transferring the file, and ... yeah nah xP )

Anyway - definitely easier with a bigger screen and the Pencil. I took the same approach though, so particularly shrunk for upload it might not look really different

(Edit ... I’m a little concerned that this might’ve uploaded really big and take too much space in the post. If so, my apologies until I change it)

Isn't it just amazing how much low light detail today's cameras actually capture? I don't know how many photos like this I 've taken and just passed over as unusable. I need to go back and take a second look now.
