Hope that your all safe and well, after all that furore of last week, I fear that this weeks challenge may not be nearly as exciting as from todd... certainly one hard act to follow.

That said however... it's another K1 file, so there's bags of information locked away just waiting for you to brought to the fore.

I've come over all patriotic and can hear the skirl of the pipes coming down this glen.

I will probably come back to this as I do like these kind of scenes, but one to get the ball rolling for now.
Threw me initially when the file was flipped compared to your preview, left it as the raw file. I mainly played about with the colours, some selective adjustments with the trees and a touch of perspective correction.

An interesting image to play with, and I forced myself to use a program more challenging and hands on than Faststone.

Ok I have had my porridge this morning (great for keeping your cholesterol down), and ready to submit my entry for this challenge.
I have kept it simple and just brought out the colours. The sky is the original which was just hiding. Straightened the tree on the left and as I had a bit of transparent space left put a top on it. I can almost taste the peat in that water.
Lovely photograph to work with.

I've never done one of these before, but I glad I did. This image made me work pretty hard and explore some areas of RawTherapee I don't use very often to pull out details. Used some tone mapping, did more work with curves than usual. I'm pretty happy with the end result, I made it a little colder and less saturated than some, but also was able to get much more out of the clouds than standard settings or even Squrrel Mafia's tailored pp3 files.
