Yep. Looks realistic to me and at least as good as the below.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk1a

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1 a

I think our host has a lot of great versions created, and it will be interesting to see which challenger he chooses for the next round. I don't envy him.

Thanks for your kind words... shame it's not my image otherwise I could give Airfix a ring then.

There you go...

@stevejo Please forgive my wee indulgence with this minor thread hijack... I couldn't resist.

No problem. I think I will have my work cut out on Monday sorting out the winner!

Aye... rather you than me, mind you did set rather a good challenge, so it's hardly our fault.

“ Battle of Britain is over, the Battle of Lightroom has just begun!”….

Thanks for everyone having a go at this flight of fancy.
It is great to get so many different versions. Here are my thoughts on your submissions;

Noelcmn. Nice bit of editing to remove the supports.

Mariwalt. Very interesting sky and great recovery of detail on the aircraft.

Pelto. Really liked this one. Great separation from its mountings and nice handling of the prop made it look pretty realistic.

Astonm. Great to see that anything goes in the PP challenges. Lovely to see the spit have a sortie over the white cliffs. Looks as it he may have to ditch though. Tally ho!

Astonm #2 Getting value for money this week! Although I think the ground crew will be out with their flare pistol to warn the pilot that his undercarriage is not down (a common problem when these planes were first being used).

Tuggie76. Another lovely bit of editing to return this one to the skies, and the added bonus of Johnny bagging a bandit!

Michail_P. A nice treatment of the sky with this one. Think you may want to get under the hood to sort that motor out though. With your skills fixing cameras this shouldn’t be a problem.

Kerrowdown. Wouldn’t be a PP challenge without an entry from you! Really nice fantasy scene and interesting flip of the aircraft. Tea and scones in the mess chaps!

Kerrowdown #2. Haha! I love this after a bit of banter from Tas. In my day we had the dogfight doubles kit with the spitfire teamed up against the 109. I used to like the building while my brothers smashed them up!

jmacias. Nicely processed this one. This is how it really looked.

So bad news for the squadron is that only 3 made it home,

1st on the apron…. Pelto
2nd touching down with light damage…..Tuggie76
3rd making a pancake on the outfield….. AstonM#1
And mentioned in dispatches.... Kerrowdown #2

Thanks again chaps for a spiffing contest and over to Pelto for the next sortie..
