Yeah, the 21Limited isn't a portrait lens, unless your subject doesn't mind looking fat it is however fabulous for street, landscapes, interiors etc. The 21st is coming round again. Thinking cap on

LOL - it’s an everything-else lens though

Well, not really birding

Caught up - missed two days last week on which I fell asleep on the couch before getting to finally take care of pictures. The HD DA 40 did fine so far, better than anticipated, but the only thing that really stands out are compactness and flare resistance. I still wonder if I should keep it.

Really? I got the smc and the sharpness blew me away. Have you calibrated it? That can make a big difference. By all accounts smc vs HD isn't a big issue like it is with the 15mm where you lose the epic starbursts. Persevere, and unless you need the money to fund something else, keep it and sic it in twelve months.

You know on that... who ever asked for rounded aperture blades on the 15? falls in the ... "why'd they fix something that wasnt broke?" column...

I think I have seen one person put bokeh over starbursts, everyone else talks about the 15 like they have overdosed on something psycotropic I for one have lost count of the times I have said "Wow, the colours man!"

I kept all my DA glass when I sold my K5 IIs.... The K3 III will be sorted should I commit. My shekels were budgetted for the 150-450 but after a month of waiting I still dont have a delivery date, I'm going to cancel and put the coin into the new body... maybe.

So, win, maybe win then do you shoot predominantly K1? I would love a K1! One day I never thought I would be able to afford a K3, then a nearly new one fell in my lap for £275. Miracles do happen

I'd guess that price of K1 starts to drop when K1 iii is released and people start to switch towards it. I just hope price wont drop too much, as I might have to sell my K1ii to fund the upgrade.
