Post-Processing Challenge #366

Welcome to Post-Processing Challenge #366

Firstly thanks so much to graeme83 for hosting last weeks challenge and for selecting my image as winner. So it's up to me for this challenge.

Here's an image I took many years ago while on vacation in Patagonia. Shot with my K-20 and DA 16-45mm.

Went with a 16:9 version with a changed colour setting to make the most of the clouds in the background. Have checked screen calibration, happy to go with this version. I made some minor adjustments to remove the saturated look that I thought was OTT.

As the uploaded version appears more saturated than it should I thought I'd do a second version. This is a 4 x 5 frame and the colours / tones are worked differently as well.

I liked the composition and kept it , overall... Some color adjustments and just a little perspective touch...

Time to close this challenge. My remarks will be brief. But first, thanks for all the entries. It was my pleasure to see all your entries. It gives me some ideas for the future.

Kerrowdown – I like your interpretation. I like the pastel coloration. You made it almost look like a painting. Very clever.

jmacias - You brought out the foreground well and added some nice color to the clouds. Nicely done.

Tas – First image - Very nice color development of the sky and clouds, Second image I like better, nicely cropped, and good lighting of the foreground

stevejo – I like how you cropped the image to remove the buildings and road from the foreground, to focus and the mountain and sky. Nice color on the clouds.

Grimmus - I like the 16:9 crop aspect ratio. Good lighting and color in the foreground. I like how you put the fence at the bottom of the image.

Michail_P – Good color adjustment to bring out more color in the sky as well as lighten the foerground.

A very nice selection of different styles, very creative. Thanks to everyone for your work. The lighting was a challenge, you all did well bringing the image to life. On to the winner, and I chose stevejo for his cropping and color development, and Michail_P as runner up. Well done all.

Once again, congratulations to stevejo, and its over to you for #367!
