Nice work Dazman ... I really enjoyed the Melbourne CBD at night ... a much nicer place than Sydney CBD that's for sure. Best food and places to go to in any Australian CBD of a night time.

I have still got to go out and shoot a bit more though ... as just a series from the Blue Mountains National Park is not enough ... I've just downloaded the RAW images to my PC and started a bit of light editing (I didn't have filters with me yesterday and the blue haze across the mountains and valleys really played havoc ... so i have to resort to a bit of PP now.

I'll still upload my entire series to my Zenfolio ... as this is kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity to do this sort of thing ... so i want to share everything i shoot.

Wow, it's exciting to see all the new comments and activity on here again. I thank those involved so far, and look forward to more pictures..
Melbourne certainly looks nice

I think the idea of adding one's name under pictures posted to the flickr account is a good idea as it helps to make it more obvious this is a group effort.

The lens grows less in value to me (in regard to actually getting it back), and more to us as a group I'm feeling.

Oh one other thing, anyone who get's the lens, and already has a flickr account, why not add yourself as a friend to the account like I did once logged in. This way if you forget the login details, you can still check in from your own account every once in a while..

I've added a couple of teasers so far from my travels the other day to the Flickr account .... still have to upload the rest of my images yet before uploading.

I am hoping I get a chance to get outside tonight and get a decent shot of the night sky ... it was a clear morning this morning at 5am ... but I was late for work so didn't get a chance to set up the tripod and get a shot.

But Simon, what do you think of Zenfolio and features such as statistics of what images are most viewed? Your gallery & their sample is really snappy. If you had to do it all over again, would you stick with them or another like Smugmug? I'm about done with fotki (stats tracking is at the gallery level only, and cumbersome) and am looking for another (just will hate losing all my linked photos in forum postings if I don't keep-up the fotki account).

Thanks Kristine ... the haze was not fun to shoot against ... so i had to process some of these.
Plus i found I was shooting most of the day at ISO400 ... I changed it and kept on shooting .. but some of the earlier shots might be a tad noisy though.

I actually haven't been up to Echo point in a while either ... good thing it wasn't too busy though ... only a few bus loads of tourists ... but nothing over the top.

Nice shots, Simon, there is no doubt it is a great area for photos, walks etc.
But I would have thought, mists and fogs are pretty the norm up there
