Adrian will pass the lens to me when we catch up in McLaren Vale, Easter Saturday. I'll take it back to Tassie with me, shoot some frames and send it on.

Cheers
Rob

If it's coming back to Tassie at Easter then Can I be next in line? I'm in Hobart.

As Tas mentioned, I'm interested in meeting the lens too when Adrian has it - but will of course defer to the official recipient.....

If the South Aussie Pentaxians are interested......

I think it would be fairer to all who are already on this list that folks don't start making their own arrangements as to whom the lens is sent to. It's going around in circles atm! Don't forget that it was supposed to be back to the US and done by Christmas 2009. There's more Aussies on the waiting list now than we had when we started. Also, I'm not sure if Ibams original idea was for all and sundry to get the lens. To be fair, let's keep the list to Members of this forum.

Well put Kris, I fully agree. The original intention was that the lens would go to those who were on the list, to do Australia in short time.
I feel that the list is the governing factor and we must remember, allour friends in Nth America Europe etc etc.
Surely 4 or 5 photos in 1 day and move it on asap is the reasonable way to go.
I had it in my possesion 24 hours and was able to achieve the required shots.
I understand that work commitments etc are a governing factor.
We wouldn't want others to think Australia is taking far too long and not conisdering them.

Great shots turning up and congratulations to all on their efforts.

Thanks for letting me share

In the spirit of the last couple of posts, I've shared this lens for about an hour and passed it on - thanks to RobA_Oz and Adrian Owerko for including me in its travels.

I interrupted its journey between Adrian and Rob at a Citroen Car Club national meeting - and fired off a few shots (lots actually) in my brief use of this neat lens.

I'll put more images on the official Flickr site (could someone PM me the user name/password please?)

Here are some tasters - taken in full midday sun and a bit of a stuff up with exposure necessitating some PP (my camera had just come back from cleaning and was set on JPEG and +2EV for a few shots till I found it.....)

First Rob and Adrian......Rob clutching a 77mm Limited in his hand whilst the Pentax logo clad Adrian looks on (Adrian was quizzed later by a guy interested in his kit - another Pentax convert????)

And a nice image of a Citroen DS logo - its such a sharp lens - I can see the metallic paint flecks clearly on the RAW image!

And finally a lovely reflection of curves from one Citroen Traction Avant into another....so clear. I can see why this lens is so admired.

This is one great lens - thanks for letting me play - and I hope its on its way to the next person speedily!

Cheers
