These were K20D Jpeg on 'bright' setting, +2 fine sharpness. I think a couple
were sharpened one more in picasa3 with the slider moved way down. That's it.
That would explain why you get so much detail in your shots and lovely high ISO look.

The K20D + sharp lens does all the work, but I'll be glad to take the credit,
deserved or not.

Here's a snap from Nifty I like - fish down at the lake this morning going crazy for
a cracker:

Waiting for more...

I have the 50mm f/1.7 and the K100D will never ever offer so much detail.
I have also seen other shots from other people who have used the K20D + sharp lens; yet they still do not look as pleasantly sharp as yours.

Well, I also upload full-sized images to flickr and link them here - I think a lot of
folks downsize their images and then flickr or other sites may do some
downsizing also, so some detail can get lost and artifacts introduced.

But besides that, MF with focus bracketing, +2 fine sharpness, that's all I do.
Thanks for the compliment, though.

Some of you may already know, I'm trying to get some more people aware
of this wonderful project. Not that they'll be able to get the lens by 2011 ,
but at least they can follow it around.

Hey guys, I think this project itself is worth more than the lens so I've decided to give it to the Pentax forum...

I've been very impressed by the way everyone has kept the list together, with great spirit, and no real arguments. With no time limit on the project now everyone, and every location should get some time with the 50.

Cheers!

Kevin.

Woohoo! Thank you Kevin!

I would like to think that the lens will return to you, one way or another.

Pretty cool, Kevin, but you should maintain ownership and then just leave it on indefinite 'loan' to the world - that way, say 10 years from now, you'll be able to go online, see the latest shots, and say: "that's my lens!"

Here are my last shots from Nifty. The lens goes in the mail this afternoon to penthassykon (CA, USA,) and I'm including a little personal memento in the package that will hopefully travel with it on the rest of it's indefinite journey.

The Mall Of America is here, and contains Legoland, which my 20-mnth-old

Even if he doesn't have the concept mastered.

From Como - so long, Nifty, may the road rise to meet you.

Jay you are the best...

Your skills with the camrea are sick... It is unbelieveable what you get from these cheap lenses.
I used to think of you as enabling / encouraging my LBA, but after seeing these, I realize I need not ever buy another lens...

IT AIN'T THE LENS stupid....
