Feel free, just give me a copyright credit every time you make a call.
Send me a PM if you need a copy with more resolution and thanks.

Somehow I think the resolution is high enough, but thanks anyway!

On a separate note, I just PM'ed Gokenin to make sure he is ready for it. I'll post a couple pics to the forum soon, but the box had no instructions for the flickr group.

Can someone update the list? It seems a bit out of date, and I need to pick out who to send the lens to next. gokenin can't take it right now.

As promised, some photos from the lens. I already put three of them up on flickr, but I will repeat them here for the benefit of the forum.

The first four photos are all from the MORE Racing Freedom 250, which is an evening/night race that takes place just outside of Barstow, California. The third photo is of a class 11 car. Class 11 is probably more commonly known as the stock bug class. The class rules only allow for safety and tire improvements to a stock bug. Although slow, the class 11 cars seem to take the pounding very well.

The fourth photo was taken around 1:00 AM. Many minutes were passing between cars at this point. I get the feeling that desert racing can be very lonely.

The fifth photo was taken at ~5:30 AM the previous morning while staring out my front door. It took about 50 frames to get the shot right. I blame my friends Kirin, Miller, and Corona for the difficulty. Then again, I probably wouldn't have been up at 5:30 in the morning if it wasn't for them! The forum is scaling the photo down a bit too much, but if you stare at the center of the frame you can just make out the bright spot that I believe is jupiter.

The last two photos I was really trying to push the low light capabilities of the lens. I don't think I could have gotten the shots with an even marginally slower lens. I hope you guys like my photos!

I will be adding a category for just the traveling nifty 50mm in the user photo gallery, FYI. Don't know exactly when I'll have the time, but soon!

Ok, I just got the lens from Steve this evening:-), thanks Steve. The list is kinda messed up. do I send it to Gokenin next???? since he was supposed to get it before me? Are we keeping it in the States for awhile? I'll study the list a bit more but any suggestions are welcomed.

You know, it looks like it should go to gnaztee in Tucson next before heading east, would everybody be cool with that?

I got several ideas off of some recent posts here in the forum for this.
Traveling A-50/1.7 reversed on a Tamron PZ 1.4X teleconverter and big time crops.

Pritchard Creek before joining the Coeur d'Alene River, the Coeur d'Alene River and Miner's Creek road climbing up off the Cd'A River.

Three trees beating the odds......so far.

First two are with an extension tube.

The Veteran's Memorial Bridge right outside of Coeur d'Alene, Id. A guy jumped off and landed right around the area this pic was taken a few months ago:-(.

Sunset from Wolf Lodge Bay looking down Lake Coeur d'Alene.

What a privilege to shoot this lens. I happen to have a copy myself but I very much doubt it is as well traveled. I have a few 50mm's and I have to say the A-50/1.7 is one of my favorites, it's very sharp and has a lovely color rendition, a sweet lens and this copy may turn out to be THE A-50/1.7 in the world. Like Damn Brit I wanted to keep it longer but I had a great day and a half shooting with it and it was time for it to continue it's journey:-).

I feel much the same. I do feel guilty for having posession of it for so long, but I guess it's water under the bridge. It really meant a lot to get to participate in this adventure, and to ad my own little twist to it.

With all due respect to the owner of this lens, I hope it's journey never ends.

Updated

Okay, I've updated as well as I can. I propose sending to Pentaxperson next, as Austin is the closest to Tucson. Not sure if we want to go east through the U.S., then back west through Canada (hitting Hawaii after that) or if I should go up to B.C. so it can hit Calgary and then down to Texas, moving north and south as it makes it's way east. What do you all think? I will be sending out on Monday, I don't have much time to shoot during the week. Saturday will be my big day!
