I checked his account info and he hasn't posted anything since March 28, but he was active on the boards as recently as May 26. So I have to imagine that he knows people are looking for a confirmation from him and, FWIW, I hope that he's okay and able to reparticipate or send the lens along to the next person.

However, he only has 13 total posts in two years. My guess is this: lesson learned, we need a minimum number of posts and an established length of Forum activity before someone should be able to participate. It's too easy to disappear on the Internet.

Nope, nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the parcel has got caught up in the ongoing backlog at the South African Post Office.

just spent the last two hours following the Nifty Fifty in its travels and the multiple flickr accounts devoted to it... love the work and the pics coming from everyone...

the talk of having a minimum of posts/time on the forum seems a valid idea - but I didn't see any follow up to that...

are we still using the original lense or is it now the replacement making the rounds?

I can handle the roll call right now, but it's my busy season at work, too, so I can't manage it beyond a post or two.
