Lens arrived today. I'm going to be leaving on a trip and will put it to use during the trip.
Will be back within 8-10 days or so and will send it to the next recipient when I get back.

Hope this doesn't pose too much delay.

It doesn't as long as you bring nice pictures with you, is what i would propose ;-)

Glad it arrived safe and sound. Based on the person at the post office...let's just say I was concerned! LOL.

Should arrive in New Zealand in 6-10 business days.

I have one of those A-50mm f1.7's, and don't use it. But something about a well travelled fifty stirs the interest. Put me down for a go in a couple of years.

Here is a question for the folks after Australia:
do you want to let the lens stay in country for a week longer to get Sam Joseph in the route, or do you prefer he waits his turn at the bottom of the list?

Would be fine for me to include him - one week up or down won't make that big a difference.
But the way I understood his post, he wants to send HIS fifty on a route like this in a few years...?

Doesn't bother me - a dew weeks don't make much of a difference. Likewise, I hope the guy after me isn't in Japan when I have to send the lens
