ah, the full-frame conspiracy rears its head....

I wondered how long it would take before this would be suggested....

I did some film with a 1932 Leica then a roll with my s1a, but I won't be making a habit of it

I never really got 50mm until I got a K1. Now they make perfect sense. Same with 135mm. I'm really enjoying the wider lenses on the KP though, 21, 35, 40 and of course the 20-40.

Which lens is the majority is using this month? I did not pack my camera when I left for work, so I am open to suggestions.

I did like my fifties on crop body too, but I also do enjoy 85mm on K1ii. I tend to be more lost on ultrawides.

A good point to weigh in here, I guess. Sorry to have flooded the group with my pictures from a whole week at one. An infection had knocked me down for a few days and I needed to catch up with a lot of other stuff first. I used the DA*55mm on the KP for the first half of the month and did not find it difficult to find matching subjects and perspectives, and it worked equally well on the K-1 from a field-of-view perspective. I noticed that the hood contributed a lot of the vignetting on FF. I need to think about a way to resolve that, even though I had no trouble shooting without a hood either.

Overall, I'm fairly happy with the results from DA*55mm, the pictures have a beauty to them. I thought of buying the VL Nokton 58mm instead (you know it's never really instead), but when the AF of the DA* started to not lock on, which was a frequent problem, I remembered how I like to have AF in the first place. Phase detection AF was still working well most of the time, but contrast detection AF fails regularly even on contrasty subjects. I'll try an MF lens in July, joining in with another A24mm f/2.8.

I have an S1a, a spotmatic and a Yashica J5, all bought because they came with lenses. It wouldn't surprise me if they all need light seals replacing. I know the s1a works, I fancy trying the spotty but I can't see me getting into film that much. Its fun, like infrared but I love my KP too much

I qcquired several bodies and lenses in a lot for a very low price, along with several rolls of film and found some other film in a box. I figure the film is expired but I might as well use it to test out the cameras for light leaks, etc. by using it alongside my digital whdn I am out andabout . I might even get a few keepers from the experiment

I really enjoyed being picky about my shots and got some crackers. There was a bit of random light ingress which may be the light seals. I am going to get another film for my spotmatic and try that next time. My s1a was mono, maybe colour. The problem is you are looking at £10 per film (inc processing) and I have far more important uses for my very limited cash
