I used to be really pretty negative about it, but decided to approach it again, with an open mind - on the KP. The month rather turned me around to liking it. A lot.

I also have a sigma 70-300mm, because it’s waaaaaay cheaper than the Pentax 55-300.

It’s also waaaaaaaay not as good. xP But it does the job. Otherwise I’m all Pentax, all the time.

Lol I would like a sigma art lens, I also loved the 30mm when you sic'd it we can't be too precious about Pentax because a few of the zooms are rebadged Tammys. The only non Pentax stuff I have though is vintage but I would be quite happy with other brands

I have a handful of third party lenses that cover niches Pentax doesn't.

Samyang 12/2.8 Fisheye - fast, well corrected full fame fisheye
Loawa 12/2.8 D-Dreamer Zero-D - super-wide full frame rectilinear
Lomography Lomogon 32/2.5 Art - all-brass retro fun
Sigma 35/1.4 Art - currently the only wide angle which can properly compliment the two DFA* 50 and 85
Lomography Daguerreotype Achromat 62/2.9 - a modern take on one of the first ever photographic lenses

Then there's the Schneider-Kreuznach Cinelux-Ultra 125/2.0 for the 645

In total, that's less than 10% of my lenses....

I'll think I'll jump in with the A100/2.8 Macro for June. Its an interesting lens, has some weaknesses but makes up in tactility. It's an almost * lens.

One full month was already quite a challenge. I'm wondering if I can make it another without repeats from my little home spot. Weekends are ok since I can go out and about, but M-F I have to rely on something at home or really close. It'll work my brain.

I'll either be in with HD DA 40 Limited or 100 DFA Macro. Most likely the 40. It will be a surprise even for me tomorrow.

Even if you have duplicate subjects, which I most certainly do, you can always look at different lighting, composition, or perspectives.
I made a generic list (I like structure) I go off of when nothing jumps out at me, like the toilet on the side of the road.

-Sunrise / Sunset
-the dogs
-birds
-textures
-B&W
-goofy stuff
-downtown
-architecture
-cars
-train tracks (I definitely repeat this one)
-bokeh
-landscape (or lawnscape)
-baking / cooking

Don't forget to have fun!

I don't know that I've ever had a toilet jump out at me... especially on the side of the road...

Definitely a good idea. I have a mental list, but it is mental and sometimes recalled and sometimes not. I think a written list when the preverbal toilets don't jump out would definitely help.
