Called to service number of our post. They have introduced an service fee 2,90€ for paggages that need custom declaration and that needs to be paid separately. They just don't send invoice of any kind, but you need know to go to certain page and pay it with your tracking code. Apparently they don't even tip you that your paggage is waiting for that mentioned service fee to be paid. Bloody idiots have no idea of cervice. That should be able to do with couple of clics. Poor service person had to be all apologetic and take some constructive critisism on their web cervices, as I wasn't happy to find out the reason why my paggage doesn't move. It's just perkeleen stupid that paggage tracking doesn't tell that it's waiting for payment. Hopefully now I get my knife by tomorrow. It's only 20km from me anyway, so that shouldn't take long to move.

I do understand the reason for cervice fees. It all leads to international postal fees and I have taken advantage of them also myself. For example I've ordered small photogear from china, like hoods and IR remotes, and the price with delivery is less than postage within Finland. This just leads to expances to Finnish post and lifts local postages even higher. This cervice fee hits small paggage from July as the tax free limit of 22€ is removed, so every paggage outside EU need to go thru customs.

What a hell of a pain. I’m glad you found out and got it sorted (finally)

June has busted out all over, work wise, so I was not able to take time for photographs, This month my imagery will be limited to weekend day hikes or day trips. On the plus side, I did clean up a lot of workspace in my study, so I can attempt some small studio ideas if time allows.

My lens of the month, the DA*55, may need a little adjustment. When AF drives it to infinity, I cannot focus manually - neither by switching to MF (lens and/or camera) not by manual override. Workaround is to first have the AF drive it closer. MF still feels a little stiff ...
But I'll first finish the month. What do you think about switching cameras mid-month? So far, I've only used it on the KP, considering the K-1 for 2nd half. Or should I rather do a separate SIC? Same lens, but it will be different for sure ...

The DA*55 is a very good performer on the K-1 - in fact, I enjoy it more on full frame than I do on crop.
Go for it!

I do it all the time - it is the lens that matters....

I received my Vello Lens calibration tool yesterday, so I can confirm, and hopefully correct, what appears to be back focus with many of my lenses. My K-1 has taken a few bumps over the years, so it's likely.

I like the idea, mine has not seen much use lately. Alternatively, the Elicar 90mm Macro, which I bought from him a while ago

I find it interesting when several SIC participants use the same lens, or at least the same focal length. I look forward to seeing the results.
