do it - there's no rule against it....

Definitely. I’m pretty sure I’ve done more than one month with the same lens

I have done so, also - once with my Tamron 72B....

I'm in, DA 16-50 2.8 , the classic version
, I ordered the new version which should be here sometime next week, however as I haven't singled the original, I thought a back to back monthly comparison might make me see if all that extra money really makes that big a difference.

35mm f2, sigh. That would have been my lens last month if my 20-40 hadn't come to stay. What a beeeoootiful lens

I repeated my 55-300mm after two years, and it was one of the best months ever. I feel the 20-40 has been a slower burn than some of my primes, hence the second month, but the last few days ..... I mentioned that with my limited choices of vistas I was struggling for shots, I must have taken 200 since Thursday so yeah, sic repeat, no problem

Oh, I also repeated my 35mm limited. That was just stellar both times

I walked past a camera shop in York yesterday. Probably the closest I am ever going to get to either of these lenses...

Great to see such a lovely range of Pentax products available in a shop rather than just online here in Oz

The 100-500mm Cosina arrived early.

I think I'm in love - it's feeding my "Old Manual Lens" itch nicely.

The lens is a beast, but not really any bigger or heavier than the old Sigma 70-300 I've had in the past, and the IQ trounces the Sigma handily. It's slow, obviously, but 500mm usually is without shelling out the cash.

It's also practically mint. It doesn't even creep (it's a push/pull) when I lower it, and it probably weighs a couple pounds.

September should be fun.

rules here are more like "gentleman's agreements" not legal constraints

I haven't gotten to use my FA-77mm every day, part of me wants to use a prime for the September SIC.
FWIW, I used my ProMaster Spectra XR 28-200 to informally shot a wedding and I'll say I was very pleased with it during my vacation, at certain focal lengths, if I do all the right things technically, it was really sharp and accurate in color tones.

I'm in with the K-35/2 as well.

I need a manual mode month to slow things down.

I can understand that sentiment. I don't have a 35mm, but I do have an M 40mm I've never really singled, maybe this is the month for it?

Perhaps, but I'm waiting until the holidays before committing to gear purchases.
Ultimately, I weigh my purchases in terms of "What kind of vacation could I take if I didn't buy this?" That includes something as simple as a tank of gas for a day trip to some place where I can put my gear to use. For me, wanderlust is an even stronger impulse than GAS.

I don't like to go too long without a little manual lens practice. I switched from the K-5 to the K-1, almost a year ago, and I still have not gotten used to the green button location on the K-1 (need more practice ).

I've looked at a few forty's over the years, and I always talk myself out of them because of the small focus ring.
