And it’s in! The lens choice for this month is a free Pentax SMC-A 50mm f/1.7 I acquired.
It is now no longer “A” ready, the contact for it was broken along with the ball bearing not seating properly. I’ve already the SMC-M version so de-clicked this one too.

Should be an interesting month having no tactile aperture setting. Just a freely moving ring.
The glass, however, is gorgeous.

A hawk has been perched on the fence post a few streets over, I'll mount a telephoto before I leave the house and hope for a chance to catch it.

I'm in too. I made it to Spain and back, so I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I may be late posting later this month since we're going up to Bar Harbor, but I'll be taking photos none the less.

I missed a day, too busy. I hope to make up for it this afternoon when we take a day trip to explore the state capital of Virginia.

Who owns a KP? I am seriously considering picking one up for a second body.

I’ve got one. Nice camera, ergonomics are a little weird but not bad. Have a good trip!

I've had one for a while. Great little camera. Smaller and lighter than others with nice features like the third wheel. I've never had a problem with the ergonomics. Nice flippy screen too. I use it as a light weight alternative for the K1. Image quality is good although I'm not totally convinced by the metering on older lenses.

I like results from mine but like ergonomics on my K3 and K-1 better.

The same here; I've been thinking of upgrading from my K50 for a while. What I really need is a better low-light performance and an articulated screen, which narrows the choice to the KP. I just hope I'll like the ergonomics.

Whilst the KP is arguably better, surely the K70 would still provide a decent upgrade over the 50 but with the more traditional ergonomics.

I was thinking of it, too, but the new camera will probably become my "ultimate" one for long years to come so I'd like to go as far with the upgrade as possible, and K3-III is not an option.

BTW. My shot (taken with good old Takumar 50/1.4) from yesterday hit explore:
