I'm having a week off in Anglesey (Wales) and in the Republic of Ireland. The holiday spans September into October, so next months lens has had to come with me. This month it's been a 75mm lens, but I had to factor in holiday requirements of wide angle for the landscapes and a long lens for taking pictures of the birds that my wife spots. I've brought the Pentax 28-105mm WR zoom, which does the wide end OK, but needed a long lens. Tempted to bring either the Photosniper 300mm, the Pentacon 300mm or the Tamron 500mm mirror lens, but thought that something covering the distance between the 105mm and 300mm would be useful, so I have acquired a SIGMA DG 70-300mm F/4-5.6 OS from a well known internet auction site. This will be Octobers lens.

I'm in for October with the SMC-K 120mm f2.8. I've kicked this one down the road long enough.

Should be good. At least my M version is awesome.

You can’t get rid of me yet

Still loving the DA21 - in fact it’s going to feel decidedly weird at the end I’d the year, putting on any other lens.

It's quite funny how one can get very used to a focal length. I've found that lately; we had some time out of the house for building works, whereby I took only a limited selection of lenses. A Voigtlander 40mm f/2 stuck on my camera for the majority of that time and changing afterwards to other lenses felt a little alien...

Only 24 hours left in the month, I had better decide on a lens.
Who am I kidding? I love the DA 40 XS on the K-1. Since I will be traveling often during this month, it is the perfect combo.

Won't it have any dark vignetting on the open end?

I suppose that you should put that picture in dedicated thread.

I have DA40XS. There is no heavy vingette. Corners are mushy, but other that that, it is alright with K-1. And in many photos you won’t even notice that, or you might place vingette you self at there
