Well, there goes my diet, but I'll do it for the Daily In.

You all, and I mean all y'all, have started the month of very strong. 3 days in, my schedule already prevented me from one day's shooting, I'll make up for it on the weekend (perhaps two cakes? how I must suffer for my art!)

That’s interesting as it could be interpreted as naked selfies which I know Sandy and Sara have done in the past, or clothing without a person inside in various ways such as Pepperberry Farm’s jeans on the line images.

Last week we went on a hike in a local park, and through the trees we saw a bald eagle flying. This morning I went to a location where I could view a next that the bald eagles often use. A pair are using the nest, which is slightly obscured by trees, but while I was watching them, they both flew off in opposite directions, and one cam across the open sky where I was able to capture a few shots with the KP and an F 100-300 attached. Score!

The winners of our local calendar contest have been announced, and though only one photo was chosen for a month's image, 3 others received honorable mention. Having this opportunity to look forward to has provided me a lot of incentive to look for local scenes and subjects throughout the year. I almost never leave the house without my camera because of it, and more than a few of my Daily In photos have also been used in the annual calendar competition..
Knowing how good some of my peers are with finding images of their own also makes me really concentrate on all aspects of composition. I really enjoy it all, a friendly competition that has grown into a community over the past decade.

That's a lens I feel conflicted about. It is deserving of it's reputation, but I like lenses with a closer minimal focusing distance.

Why? I don't consider the MFD to be a hindrance to using this lens in most situations.

LOL, I am doing the same thing with the KP I've been testing for a month! After the 24th I can stop hiding it
