I'll be in monochrome-mode most of the weekend - using the X-T2 gives me access to one of my favorite film-simulations and it is just delicious to work with....

I didn't get home from work until 22:15 on Tuesday, so no portrait (or indeed any shot) from me for the 8th.

Still, getting through the first week without missing an entry is a milestone for me, so I'll press on regardless

Well today I received a 28mm Shift lens in the mail, perhaps I will end up with another 28mm month in March, I have always wondered what all the fuss was about, but after playing around with it, I can see how it can work nicely to "fix" or exaggerate lines, as a bonus the lens cap also fits the 15mm A series lens in case I lose it.......
Apparently panorama shots might also be done more easily with it, time will tell.

Hi Gary, I've used it for stitching images where 28mm on APS-C isn't wide enough. Having (finally) got a shift lens, it is a regular occupant of my camera bag. With the in-viewfinder levels of the K-3iii you can even get away with hand holding it, although using a tripod is to be preferred.

Glad to hear it is a regular user in the bag, I had read that it was handy to use the in built levels with the camera. I find it interesting how the exposure changes when shifted near the max, I suppose that was an issue back in the film days but with digital review not such an issue . It did take me a few minutes to work out how to rotate it so I could do vertical or horizontal shifts, overall it feels like typical K series, solidly built. Thanks for easing my mind about the purchase

The last two days were busy, I did take photos, but haven't had time to post images yet.

I might be posting a bit more lens porn tomorrow. I just received a lens, which I have always considered impossible to justify. Before I saw an offer too good to refuse....

Looking forward to it! I know I have more stuff than I could possibly use regularly. During my photography-wise less active 2nd half last year, I wasn't looking, not even for specials around Christmas. But then, after I had searched for one for a while and given up, I noticed a weeks-long lingering offer for an almost unused Atlaspack Athlete at way less than what's usually asked. So since Friday last week, I'm the proud owner of my 4th camera backpack. But in contrast to most lenses and accessories, each of them actually fill a specific need and I am looking forward to use it next week - you'll likely see some more landscape instead of city stuff.
