Just quietly - there is no pressure to comply with any mini-theme that develops in this discussion thread. It should certainly not be a disincentive to participating. The basic tenet is one lens (ANY lens!) for a month.

Shoot a wide angle!
Ignore TakuMARCH!
Or skip a month (or several) and do other things.

Having used the K28/2 last month and the K120/2.8 this month, I think I'll use the K50/1.4 for March. I tried to SIC it once before but failed miserably. I'm probably going to some architecturally interesting places in April so I might stick my neck out and SIC my 28 shift...

I seriously considere turning my skip a month into several. It has been relaxing not to worry about shooting while staying here in the ski resort. I'm usually too tired, when I return from the slopes, to get the camera and go out looking for a good shot. I even left camera home from this week.

For march I have half a month scheduled to stay here and I'm also supposed to work again, so most likely I will wait for April before I join you again.

As for TakuMarch or 135mm lenses, other than my incredible need to follow the crowd and fit in, I also find it interesting to see how several us might use the same type of lens of focal length and compare results, but also see how many of us will use that same focal length but capture very different subjects.

I now have week of images to catch up on posting, and even more comments.

There is the Daily In Challenge where you can shoot with anything you like, Pentax or not (although Pentax does predominate). It runs for a month but gives a lot more flexibility than Single in.

I have enjoyed the weekly Project52 for a while (until it died off) - without any equipment focus, but with a common theme for all participants for a week. It used to be a similarly nice crowed as here, with good feedback on the photographs. I have not rejoined after it's revival though - the sic was more fitting at the time for the purpose to get me out of my office regularly.

Super-Takumar 28mm f3.5 - the late version of this lens


everything you'd ever want in a 28mm lens - beautiful build quality, excellent sharpness/clarity/color rendition...

downsides?

MFD is a bit long and the f3.5 aperture is a bit slow, but neither deal-breakers for this lens...

the addition of the 33mm helical dropped the MFD issue completely and using the lens on my Fuji X-T2 made the aperture a non-issue....
