Post-Processing Challenge #405

Welcome to this weeks Post Processing Challenge #405

Many thanks to Fdooch for hosting last weeks challenge. This PP Challenge is something very different and certainly more like a real world challenge. The type of thing I sometimes have to contend with... so a real challenge in more ways than one.

Now imagine that you've just been commissioned to create marketing imagery, suitable for promoting this rail station in the Highland Capital of Inverness.

On arrival you're presented with this scene, so... "your mission should you choose to accept it" work your magic, to turn this into a welcoming railway gateway, that you'd like to come to and explore the Highlands from.

Good luck to all and enjoy... remember this is supposed to be fun.

The Challenge will run until Sunday 27th February 2022 @ 20.00 GMT

A bit of tidying up, turn on the lights. Some minor decorating.... Looks much more cheery and inviting. And definitely safer! BTW... was that gum or bird doo down the center? LOL Not cleaning it all off. The blank ceiling and floor area perfect for adding copy.

Winner Post-Processing Challenge #405

Thanks to all participators and viewers of this bit of nonsense from me this week.

Just a few wee comments on some of the submissions...

stevejo; Kinda got it all... fine train and a really jolly looking Piper.

cg57; "Flipped for Kerrowdown" I'm getting famous for this technique it would seem. But it if there's writing in the scene... you'll need to do a reverse back flip, so it's still readable... like in this case the platform numbers.

Pelto; What a belter... I wondered if someone might think on these lines. The actual rail line used for the filming is only some forty odd miles away from me.

tuggie76; Lots of bonnie lassies in this shot, to hell with the Piper... I'd never leave this station.

astonm; "BTW... was that gum or bird doo down the centre?" In truth I think you'll find it's actually Haggis droppings. "The blank ceiling and floor area perfect for adding copy" That's exactly what I had in mind when I set up this dire shot.

So to the winner... gotta go to Pelto, honourable mentions in despatches to both stevejo and tuggie76

Thanks again to all.

Thanks kerrowdown for an interesting challenge. Pretty tough to make this station look inviting. Well done everyone.
