More shop until you drop from Sweden.. Mostly ISO 1600 and DA15ltd on the K-7.
Hey what's with all the blondes? Ahh SWEDEN! So nice to see people wearing lots of clothing. Great texture and patterns. Here it is not conducive since it is much warmer.

You shouldn't post such pics here.
All afternoon/evening I had to drag myself and the kids through rain just above freezing in darkness from school to doctor to shop to swimming-class (indoor of course) and back home...freezing wet (No sand, sun or sea). And I can't do any street shooting in that way until Pentax release a weather proof flash!

Edit: forgot to say that this is a very well composed (almost a perfect "x") shot with nice warm colors. Will try to remember it tomorrow while bringing the kids to school through the rain.
Thanks for the compliments Douglas and bbluesman! I used to blow out the highlights on sand and snow or under expose those areas. I used the DA 35mm on that image.

If it any consolation, it is a frigid 44 F at 11:30 pm.

Edit: I just got back from the North Florida Fair and had to wear a sweater!

Well, here weather demands a bit more than sweater. At least it has the advantage that I'm back in my winter coat with the big pockets: currently a Program-A with the M40/2.8 pancake in the left pocket and the M135/3.5 in the right...or I'm just about able to squeeze down the K-7 with an ltd on even though it is still a bit thick.

I find the DA35ltd excellent for that sort of landscape shots.

I've been keeping an eye open for a good conference over on the American west coast as an excuse to go there, something on atmosphere, aerosols or climate. AMS (American Meteorological Society) use to have some every year, but the location changes. If I get anywhere near I will let you know. It would be nice to do some street shooting together and perhaps have a bear or two, or whatever you drink.

Lovely shot. Contrast is low but together with the "sephia" tonality it gives a warm sunny feeling. We should have a law stating that all hats should let some light through onto the face like this one

Great capture, composition, DOF and OOF where it should be, that film feeling again.

Thx Douglas-I just took a nice series down at the train station with higher iso(800) all my other shots at 400. Having fun with the film effect in both b/w and color. NIK color EFX and Silver EFX really good tools. You and Javier have been good inspiration on my black and white processing.

Thanks Douglas. I did try a contrast increase, but felt like it took away from the sepia look. I was after a more antique looking image, something I have been working on with poor results, but I will keep after it.
