I was help by the fact that Paris is probably the best city in the world for this type of shooting. Now I'll have to try my hand in a less touristic environment... unfortunately, winter is settling in around here now.

bbluesman, That is a great image (last shot in your series). Well exposed under what looks like pretty harsh lighting. Very well captured.
