Hey Doug-good idea and series. Howya been? Warming up some?
Yep, its getting warmer, and brighter. These weeks around midsummer, the sun barely sets here, the sky never get really dark. Hard to sleep even. Have almost not been posting for 3-4 weeks due to a load of work. Have three PhD students defending their theses within eight months. Not stopped shooting, but not enough time for post processing and the web. Seen many good shots by you when I've tried to catch up these last two days.

I ran into these red hat ladies while checking out Angels flight and asked them to pose for me.
They where so giddy and cute!

A little later, this one asked me to take her picture as she missed out the first time. Simply precious and cute.
I gave her my card and I emailed them the pics.

Every time I see a bus stop and people start coming out, I just point and shoot and see what I get if anything.

Rent a cop ignoring the world around him.

Thanks mate. I'm starting to get interested in street shots at night, as people are usually drunk and completely let their guard down. The missus hates it though

My night shots have been inspired by this guy-

Amongst a page of good shots, I really like Carl's 2 shots, and this one:

great shots
You can read a lot of feeling and emotion from these photos. While I am getting much more confident with street shots, getting a good shot with emotion and a 'story' is still mostly beyond me at this point.

Today I tried my 135mm lens on digital for something different:

Suede Jacket

Matching

Family afternoon out

How do I work this thing?!
