Carl,
To be clear, are you saying you jumped ship to the 50D?

Personally, this thread is all about the capture and not what was used so please keep posting.
Correct.

Cheers mate. I've been shooting with the Sigma 30mm and love the FOV.

Hey twitch, one of the forum members has set up a flickr group dedicated to cafe E Torta images. He is slightly/very obsessed with it.

Punch in Caffe E Torta on flickr and add it to the group!

Lots of people are jumping ship of late. I myself bought me a D7OO and then a D300s but have also decided to keep my K20D's and K-7 as well. Well, I might get rid of the K-7 not sure yet. A 30mm lens sounds pretty good. Is the 50d a crop body?

Whaaaaat? D700 & D300s.. Lucky bugger! The D300s looks like a sweet crop body. You're not wrong about people jumping ship. 50D is a 1.6 crop as opposed to the Pentax 1.5 crop. 30mm on the Canon works out to 48mm. Great for street. I don’t see myself taking this lens off the camera for some time.

They’re added to Xhantos’s obsession, aka E Torta

I bought my D700 about a year ago and the the D300S a few months later. I bought the D700 mostly for all the family stuff I do for my family and siblings. I really needed the low light high ISO performance. What got me to switch or add a second system is the K-7 simply pissed me off with its pathetic noise performance. I have sold all my long glass in Pentax mount and am only keeping my primes, ltds and a few short zooms. I have started to use the D300s more and more for street shooting, but do not have a set up I am comfortable with. I have a total of three lenses in nikon mount. the 12-24, 24-70 and 70-200 all F/2.8 I.S. lenses and they are all big. Still, there is one lens I have been waiting for along with the rest of the nikon world and when this comes, this will rarely if ever leave my D300s.

I've been lusting after the Canon equivalent, the 24mm f/1.4L USM. Unfortunately, I haven't got a spare $2000. Maybe one day.
