Originally posted by RichardS Javier, you must have been quite close to get these @35mm. Do you just bring the camera up to eye level, compose and shoot? What about negative reactions?

Richard. 35mm is long for me, To be honest, 24mm is my fav. I always try and compose my shots. I would say that 90% of the folks I shoot, know I shot them as I work in the 2-6 meter range and am as obvious as I can be. I am in the get up and close personal camp. As far as negative reactions, not very often, because again I am not sneaky. If you look at the exif in all my pictures, it is easy to see how up close and personal I am. But this is my style and it does not work for every one. It does take a while to build up confidence like this I will admit.
I am pretty good at spotting my picture well before it happens and I will point my camera at my subject and wait or make some sort of noise to get their attention and I shoot. This is why a loud shutter does not bother me. It actually helps. I usually take one shot of the subject, so I have to make it count. It is the second and third shots that will get you in trouble.
But it is how you get good shots. Take a look at my flickr as the EXIF is easy to check and also those are pictures that I normally do not post here, not yet anyway.
Thanks a bunch.
