Thank you. I have to admit it feels pretty good to get a nod from someone who is a much better photographer. Cheers.

Javier & Basset - great stuff!
Thought I'd put up some of my wife's street shots from Cebu, Philippines. I think most of these were shot from a taxi with her Sony A300 & 75-300 kit lens - no pp, these are jpeg sooc -

I think this truck was serving as a taxi...

street vendor - they are on almost every corner...

looks like she's on her way to school...

This is the updated version of the "jeepney" - they are everywhere!

Thanks, Javier - it means a lot I'll be sure to pass this on to her. She likes street shooting, but prefers to do it from behind a long telephoto....and in this case, from inside a cab

I like those Cebu shots as well. I find that through-the-windshield shots, even in jpeg format, clear up nicely with Lightroom's clarity slider and a bit on the vibrance slider.

Before and after below. Adjustments took 20 seconds. A bit more time yields better results. .

From an artistic standpoint, however, there's some benefit to having the grayness of the original show, since it reflects the setting and the facial expression. So I am not sure I would tinker with any PP, actually. Just trying to make a general point about through-windshield shots being quite adjustable.

Thanks, Basset - your pp'd image definitely has more pop. Well, these are my wife's photos & I just pulled them straight off her laptop & posted them. She's not much into pp, unless it's something for her business (jewelry design), then she'll fuss over an image for days, trying to tweak it to perfection . Thanks for the suggestions, I might experiment with those next time.
