On my recent trip to NYC's Chinatown, I brought the Pentax K-5 with the FA43 along for the ride. My primary camera was the Panasonic LX7, a great little compact with a nice fast (24-90mm f1.4-2.3 EQ) zoom. But after the Panny's battery died, I took some snaps with the Pentax, most while walking, barely pausing to snap the shot. As much as I like the LX7, there's something to be said for a nice, compact DSLR that's as quick as you are and that you can push the ISO with and still get good photos.

I agree with Unartist, a fine set--esp. very sweet man'; also agree that there is something special about the 43.

Nice ones Nick. Has Spring come to Paris? Interesting how the mobile phone has sometimes made the street photographer's task easier isn't it?

Thanks! No, no spring yet, but they said it's coming on Sunday, 20°C for the first time of the year!

These are pictures from last summer. Actually I switched from Aperture to Lightroom in November but I still have a bunch of unsorted pics still waiting in Aperture.

About mobile, well I wasn't doing photography in the pre-mobile era so I can't tell
