Great shot!
DA21ltd is the best street lens. It is just like having a good 28mm on a film camera. Mostly I just walk with the DA21ltd on the camera and the DA70ltd in the pocket. Sometimes also with the FA135/2.8.

I like the pic, Basset, and it's got half the story written on it, but I'd be interested in hearing the second half - it might add to the appreciation.

Here's a drive-by street pic from a few days ago:

Yep, my favorite combo is currently the DA21 and FA43 for night shots

Beautiful color/effects captured in that scene.....and thanks for your comment. Sometimes this town looks like it's still stuck in the 1950's

Up in NE Portland on Mississippi Ave. With the Hasselblad 500cm and waist level viewfinder I looked inconspicuous enough....but as soon as that shutter trips people know what's up

Hasselblad 500cm
80mm C T* lens - F/5.6 @ 1/125
Porta 800 Film

Pretty cool. Not exactly the stealthy street camera one would think of
Is that an AF lens or do you have to manual/zone focus ?

Yeah stealthy-ness is not it's strong suit, the body is a brick and the shutter....while pleasant sounding....is pretty noticeable. No AF system on the 500cm, manual focus with a pretty long throw that is well dampened....speed is not it's strong suit either Even with these factors, it is still fun to shoot with on the street.

For this photo I kept the focus on the "No Parking" tag which i thought was cool...then just waited for someone to walk through the scene. I stood with the shot composed for a few minutes waiting for an interesting couple to stroll through....these two looked the part so I tripped the shutter. I think they thought I was going to wait for them to pass through....looked a little surprised with the shutter clap, but the girl gave me a smile so obviously she didn't mind too much.

Something about film cameras....or maybe cameras with waist level viewfinders, people seem to not notice/or mind as much. Maybe it's just the hipsters in PDX showing love for the vintage gear....but my Hasselblad / K1000 and other film bodies seem to be more well recieved....maybe it's just me.

Anyway, looking forward to getting out with my Hasselblad some more for some street photography....love the look and the shooting experience.
