Was worried when I took this that the pair on the right had ruined the shot, as they had stepped into frame just as I went to press the shutter. Instead they add to the sense of business and depth to the scene.

First shot is with my newly acquired DA* 55. My excuse for the indulgence is that I wanted a weather resistant prime just in case. The second two with A 135 2/8

Been browsing this thread for a while. There is some great stuff here. I got out a bit today and thought I would post here. I was shooting with my 35mm f2.4 wide open at high ISO cause it was dark
I like the expression on her face. I cropped this one a tiny bit because a persons hair got into the lower corner. I feel kind of sketchy taking pictures of kids from that close, especially being Hispanic male in the US, but I couldn't help it.

that was the first shot I took today. I didn't have my camera settings right (big no no as far as candids go) so I had to shoot it like 4-5 times. The couple was so into each other they didn't notice.

This one really suffered noise... it is the only picture I cropped significantly I feel like cropping is kind of cheating I should have stood up and shot the picture from close.

I hear you. I generally try to avoid taking pictures of children regardless of how photogenic the scene is, simply because it's way too easy to be misinterpreted.

On to the pictures, though. It looks like I didn't post this one? I thought that I had...

Edit: Hrm. Black line on the right. Looks like the scan wasn't perfect. Will have to fix that later tonight.

Some of these are stunning.

I've got one I like, taken late one sunny October afternoon very near Bank Station in London.. A young lady dozing in the sun on the steps of a closed bank while London just passes her by.

I'm not sure, I kind of think it would look better without them. I hate it when people walk in to my frame . I always try to stay out of the way of other photographers. Still, they're nice shots, especially the second one.

Shhh! I'm rationalizing here.

(It was my last shot on the roll, so there was no way I was getting another. Still, it's better than some other shots people have walked into frame on.)

Ugh, that guy. Some people are so inconsiderate. I like your photostream.

They say the best camera is the one you have one with you, but sometimes you've still got to kick yourself for not having chosen a better combo when leaving the house. In this case, a not particularly good lens is the culprit. This is in focus according to the phase detect system, but hasn't been stopped down nearly far enough to provide anything resembling sharpness.

Still, I couldn't pass up this image.
