A Pancake Oot & Aboot

Myself and "Retro Lady"(SMC Pentax-M 40mm F2.8) went to Dingwall today. A small market town with a long and rich history dating back to beyond the times when it was a Norse settlement. Sitting at the head of the Cromarty Firth, Dingwall was made a Royal Burgh in 1226.

I just love doing a bit of "Street Photography"... in my travels I took this image, the chap seated waved for the shot, I went over to speak to him after. He said "I waved to give you a little extra for your picture, as I looked like a working professional"

That's a tad worrying, what does one of those actually look like?... must check me in the mirror.

Hate it when I carefully manual focus then accidentally touching the front part of the lens hood on the glass window in front and the focus shift a bit, makes everything look soft / out fo focus, step back and the opportunity gone. It is what happened to this image. by the time I notice this, try to step back, re-compose and the guy left the scene! . Maybe he spot me taking photo from above .
K3 and DA10-17 at 17mm.

Ybor City, FL. Cigar capital of the world (or at least Florida).

Outside Smoking Area

The first was truly candid. He caught me on the second shot.

Now that's a fine cigar
