That was taken through the windshield. It was 101 F when that was taken. I see this guy around town from time to time.

I've had my pants leg get caught in the chain too but I didn't go to such extreme measures as that guy to prevent a recurrence.

That seems counter productive for the "honey moon."

Interesting thread. I love most of the pictures taken...
I do like street photography although I have not much experience. I'll try to post some ASAP.

I have a couple of questions though:

- equipment: is it better a DA 40mm or 70mm? They are both discreet, what would you prefer?

- rights: what are the policies and rights for publication? Is web publication allowed? Do you think that professional/famous photographer that took pictures of some poor people in some poor countries, asked the permissions to every subject in the picture?

Thank you

Here are a couple of shots I have taken:

There is no set "rule" in street photography. It depends on the situation. I sometimes use a 21mm, 35mm, 50mm, 105mm, 55-300mm and even the 400mm. It depends on how tight the area is etc and whether or not there is a risk of getting pounded or shot.

Edit: For example I did this one with the DA 55-300mm from the road.

Nice additions to the thread. As far as ''rules'' go, I agree with blue. As for equipment, use what ever makes you feel more comfortable. Most importantly...have fun.
