Thanks for the comments folks..
Oh it has been about 6 weeks ago now, a couple of guys I met on another forum wanted to go street shooting as they have never done so before. They invited me to go along to give them some pointers...So we met up in Hollywood. If you can't shoot strangers in Hollywood, you can't shoot them anyplace. Well wrong!. They both showed up with these giant white lenses that said ''look at me, I am taking your picture''...By the way the canon 70-200F/2.8 lenses are huge!. That day I showed up with two cameras. My ME SUPER with M40F/2.8 and my K20D with my Sigma 10-20mm lens..I ended up with some great shots that day (which I have yet to process as I am about 3 months behind on processing)..Anyway here are some observations we both made.
What they said they noticed about me is that ''have no shame in taking peoples pictures'', meaning confidence is something I do not lack. They where also surprised at how well people took to me. How they would pose and smile, especially the ladies..(I have always had a good rapport with them and most people in general) But the thing is, it comes down to blending in. They also noticed that most of the people did not even notice I took their picture even though I was 5 feet in front of them. (my working range is usually 4-20 feet as that is the range I set up my lenses at hyperfocal) What they would do is point those canons (no pun intended) and wait for them to autofocus and then get spotted and put them down with out firing a shot...So not only did they get caught, they froze and ended up with nothing..Me, when I get caught, I say smile and usually in Spanish as it come out more friendly and is a good way to get a conversation going.
Now in saying this, I have been cussed out a few times and have gotten more than my fair share of bad looks and once I almost got into a scuffle, but since I told the guy the truth, he then got real happy...I told him he was a great capture for the capture a stranger thread at PR and many folks would see him and admire him...

I am 6'1 and 250lbs so I am a big guy, but this guy was 6'4 or so and about 280lbs and half my age, so I likely would have got a beat down

though, I had my weapon ready (my K1000 that day

) but all in all, I learned from that. That was a few years ago...I will look for his picture and post it up. I have it on one of my many external hard drives and was before I organized anything...
