Javier, the K-5 is the first camera in a loooong time to change my way of shooting in practical terms. Its dynamic range and its resolution at high iso really change the rules for what is possible. Especially for us up here in the northern darkness where street shooting in winter is a challenge. One things I played with is to just set it on manual and select the apperture and exposure time I'd like to have, pick iso 400 or 800 where noise it still completely negligible and just shoot, fixing the under exposure afterwards. It has that much extra range that in 9 of 10 cases it works to shoot like this in dark Swedish winter dawn streets or indoor galeries. It is a killer camera.
Two other cameras I used for street shots recently: the ME super (a black one) and the ES (electrospotmatic). Both offers apperture priority, which helps since I can stay more focused on the subject. Expect to be using a K2 DMD (black) that I just got, for the same reasons. My Spotmatic, KX, MX etc gets less use on the streets for the corresponding reason. It takes one more step to get the exposure right, which equals a risk that the rare moment I want to catch is gone. With that preference, it is sort of funny to discover that the K-5 is a great street camera operated on manual exposure!
