Good pics here of late!

For something a bit different - Aussie Citizenship ceremony last night (with Canon FD 85/1.2L on NEX-5n):

the wrong lens

Went downtown today with the idea that I'd take some wide angle cityscapes. Light was wrong, so I directed my attn. to people, with the terrific (for other kinds of photography) Sigma 10-20.

Went to London yesterday to watch the games on the big screens. Both these shots were taken within sight and sound of the stadium. We could hear the athletes get the medals as we watched. One photo shows the inspiration and the other the tension of being in London at the moment. I hope.

Actually it's pretty good, the atmosphere is great, and by all accounts the only disruption is in East London around the park. The rest of London has gone dead. Best time ever to visit I reckon.

Yeah aside from the cost of rooms this year. I looked at the apartment i rent (800 pounds for 8 nights in September, 2500 for the same length of time during the Olympics
Cabbies seem really pissed about it actually they are all hurting

A couple of shots from the medieval fare in the city of Arboga on Friday:

A wonderful 90-year old that told us stories about his life, mostly about how everyone was crowding around the radio to follow Charles Lindbergh's fight over the Atlantic ocean.

Da boss!

A musician who suddenly started playing for us.

Even Medieval people had camera troubles!

A "farmer" and his wife.

I'm pretty sure that he nearly swallowed the fire here and I know (not by personal experience at least) how dangerous it is!
