We went to an art festival tonight that was super crowded. I took along my K1 in my small sling bag just in case. The museum exhibit was open, but the doorman wouldn't let me through with my camera. It ended up being a photographic bust.
Funny that, because everyone attending has a cellphone with a camera in any case. I lived in Mainz and Wiesbaden for several years, so I am familiar with just how much there is to do and see in your area, all within a short distance.

it was not my intention to draw this sort of attention to myself...
Too late, besides that, we know introverts secretly crave attention .

I'm all ears on your findings with that camera. Really looking forward. As it is getting more and more affordable and has that beautiful sensor, it has been also on my radar Congrats on your new camera
thank you...

you can now find one close to the price of a K-1 - i'm hoping more people pick them up and use them as I am intending to....

Will be playing catch-up tomorrow morning by the look of it.
My 'downtime' has been chock-a-block with tutoring my fiancé's nephew, so have had very little time to think for myself, unfortunately.

about tht 645D, I really like you images with it. Looks like it might be also the thing for me too. I'v sold K-1, because of K-3III and now Canon R5C(going to need to buy some canon lenses for this at first). Canon is fine and works lovely with my Pentax lenses too. and K-3III is very nice still. So those 2 cameras are here(mine) for good. But I might look up used copy of 645D. Dunno, I can see that 645 magic going on, and that CCD sensor does bring nice colours too..

how do you feel like looking those images on your computer?

I love the images - there's a depth to the resolution that none of my other cameras have....

Well that is clearly rubbish as you are one of the most consistently creative and awesome photographers in the groups! Also your knowledge (and possession) of obscure lenses is enviable.

In general I like receiving constructive criticism, I tend to find that it is usually helpful. I keep trying to be a better photographer and getting advice will help.

And do any of us have any formal photography education? My degree and post grads are in Mathematics and education. I know a photography teacher if that counts?
Nope, not here. Masters in Chemistry degree is mine.

Caught up with posting, not with commenting. Hoping to find some time tomorrow morning to churn through a few pages of photos.

Psychology degree... IT job on this end. I did IT stuff before I got out of high school... just didn't formally study it. Photograph was a hobby from age 5.

I'm away from my home base for the next day or so, so will probably be catching up on Saturday. The month is half over already. Hope everyone is doing well and having fun with the June challenge.

Back to terrible, old habits. Not taken photos for a couple of days except today.
I'll duck out the rest of the month but will try and check in on people's shots.

Fingers crossed, and thanks for persuading me to come back!
I've just picked up a Konica Hexanon 40mm f/1.8, but need an adapter to go on my Fuji (I reckon)...
