Moody, minimalist and abstract landscapes and seascapes

I'm a sucker for something a bit different hence the reason for starting this thread.

I haven't taken many photos personally that fit into this category so please post up for my viewing pleasure

I've always loved a bit of moody minimalism.

And here's one from just last week. Lighting the beacon for Her Imperial Majestyness's Unobtanium Jubilee:

All shot with cameras and lenses.

Does the midnight sun in Lofoten / Norway qualify as moody? For someone living there I suppose it's just regular weather, with the sun up in the sky 24 hours a day, never getting below horizon in the arctic summer. Been there last week and it felt a moody ”sunset/seascape” to me, because it was midnight, according to our arbitrary time counting devices.

added later to the post above, more to come.
As a matter of fact at midnight I noticed less road traffic, less tourists, more peace & quiet, and extra-long sunsets which is less hectic for me to capture than at my ususal 45 degrees northern latitude where the sun sets in a blink of an eye so-to-speak.
