I thought this might prove to be a difficult image to PP and judging by low the number of submissions, this may well have been the case.
So that makes my thanks to those who did participate... even more poignant.
The main image problem areas to deal with, were obviously under exposure, Blue colour cast and an awkward unbalanced composition.
I noticed that many of the submissions still maintained various levels of Blue cast to them. I'm aware of the science behind Blue snow i.e. "surface melts and new overlying layers compress the remaining air bubbles" blah blah. But I'm sorry... for me snow should be white. The blue look reminds me of Blue Ice... a material that has leaked mid-flight from commercial aircraft lavs.
So all that having been said, my winner for this weeks challenge is: clack with this image, so it falls to you my friend to set the next challenge.
