I love the "in your face" with the baby just showing behind. It has both the protecting factor and the "oh crap" factor. I recently had that oh crap moment in the woods when a rutting deer chased a doe past me. I thought it had followed but it was below a ridge and came up just like this in front of me. If it came at me, I was screwed so I took a photo.

I played around with this one because it is a bad snowstorm now and I just bought the Topaz AI to figure out.

In the meantime this was that deer.

I guess a temporary Flickr shot will due.

I straightened the windows, and used transform to pull the top left corner up and out so the building lines are straight. a few sliders, a bit of sharpen and stuff to differentiate the animal. Still working on my new work flow with new tools. I can already see I should have brought the baby out more too.

I also cropped in because of the bright stone in the bottom right and to place that post there while leaving a bit of the driftwood as I love the front and middle foreground features. It also put the subject more front and center but needed a slightly different aspect ration for that.

Thanks for all the entries in this weeks challenge. I admit it was a difficult image to work with but there were many good entries. The winning entry is from mariwalt. I was hoping someone could clear up the busy background and mariwalt did just that. For second place, I chose tuggie76 and third place goes to noelcmn for the colored image.

So it's on to mariwalt to host the next challenge.

Thank you for choosing my entry.

It was fun working on your photo. Sorry. I'm not able to host a challenge.

Since mariwalt is unable to host, it's on to tuggie76.
