So, here is an interesting comparison. First the K1 with A 50/1.4 f8

And second the 645d with FA 45-80 @50mm f7.1

I took them a few minutes apart so the framing is slightly different as I may have been stood in a slightly different spot (plus 50mm on ff and medium format is not the same) and it's not at all scientific. Interesting though

I am now totally out. Service wants me to send both lens and camera so I will probably post my last photo tomorrow and after that I will be without camera I already feel sorry for myself, how will I live without photographic tool. Maybe I dust off Spotmatic.
Sounds nightmare-ish. Hopefully, it won't take long. If it will, I can lend you my K-50 ;)

Stopped down, the lenses draw fairly similarly, of course. I guess focus was slightly different, too. But the color differences are really interesting. Moss is always delicate in the green-yellow differentiation, and depending on the light (color temperature), can be rather difficult to get 'right'. The 645D image shows much more saturation in the green part - often more in line with what I see.

Wow so sorry to hear that you will be without both, did they say why they needed both, it seems rather odd. Spotmatic and film does sound like fun while you wait.

Sorry to here this. Maybe it will be a quick fix if they have both.

For those registered at the German forum (I'm aware of at least @jcdoss ), the thread with more stuff from the 18th, which I wrote I'd link, is up. I had not considered that you need to be registered to see the images, so I may create another thread here, I just need to host the images elsewhere ... I think that was indeed the first time that I used a different lens in March.

Skipping this evening. Had my second to last round of indoor golf, dinner at the in-laws, and now finally sitting down to relax.

Thanks for getting us started so reliably and coming up with the themes that I so often forget about.

As to my participation, I am torn. I really enjoy the daily impulse and stage, as laid out in the daily-in discussion thread. Using just one lens is in a way helping to focus and be creative. In March however, the lens soon turned out to be rather uninspiring, the was no fun shooting a fully manual adapted mediocre lens - the tilt function of the adapter luckily came to the rescue.

So do I commit to a single-in again or switch to the daily-in? Somehow, the less committal nature doesn't appeal to me as much. Of course there is at least one terrific lens on my list, maybe that is the answer for next month.
