I had to extend my K3iii Mono rental until Monday, why waste a weekend's chance at more great images? I am really impressed by this camera's results, and I've barely scratched the surface of features and settings.

I love mine - it hasn’t left my K-1 since it arrived at the end of July. It is a beast and I bought a monopod just to make it more manageable. I really hope you like your copy.

I need to save for one of those, but I'm still deciding if I should go first for the 20-105 or the 24-70. If the 24-70 were FA* it would be a no brainer to me, but being a "normal" lens, I don't know if it's worth (to me) the investment.

I can't remember who was mentioning trying out DA lenses on FF with a TC the other day, but was wondering which teleconverter you were using.

It was me! I used the Tamron-F AF 2X Pz-AF BBAR MC7 Teleconverter with the SDM DA* 16-50mm f/2.8. I posted a couple of samples in my flickr account. I still have pending to do the same with the SDM DA* 55-135mm f/2.8. Hopefully this week I will take the shots and prepare a post with all the samples during the weekend or the next at latest.

I was very happy to learn that the "X" factor was not of 2X but for around 1.3X, meaning that FOV of 16mm with the TC on the FF was equivalent to the FOV of 21mm in the APSC-C aprox. with the loss of about 1.5 stops. but with no vignetting at all, so to me that was a win all around.

Awesome, thank you for the info and the sample pics. I am going to try it out - would be nice to be able to use my short zooms instead of buying a new one.

Been shooting when I can. but life decided battling brain cancer wasn't enough of a challenge for me, so handed me the 'rona last Friday. Needless to say, taking photos was shelved for a bit. Starting to feel better, so hopefully I can get back on track after my radiation treatments are done on Thursday. At that point I get a few weeks off to heal up and they can get a fresh brainscan to see if we knocked this stuff back on its heels or not.
